One of these regional culinary staples is Konkani cuisine, which is heavily influenced by the traditions and cultures of three states. Non-vegetarian dishes abound in this cuisine; try one even at home like Konkani Style Chicken curry with its rich melange of flavors that includes whole spices, desiccated coconut, juicy chicken pieces and more. 

Chicken, like most meats, provides important nutrients such as protein, calcium, and phosphorus. Additional benefits of consuming more chicken include weight management and heart health.

Chicken Curry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 500 gms Chicken Pieces 
  • 2 large Onion 
  • 1 large Tomato 
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 cup Desiccated Coconut
  • 2 Bay Leaf
  • 6-7 Black Peppercorns
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • 1 Star Anise
  • 2 small Potatoes

Methods

First you need to marinate chicken pieces. You add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and ginger garlic paste to a bowl. The ingredients are mixed, and the instructions go on next.

To add flavor to your masala, first turn on the stove and bring oil to a light saute with whole spices.

Take a Mixer, add coconut along with liquid and grind until a smooth Puree.

Put the buttermilk, oil and whole spices in a large kadhai, then cook it until the mixture boils.

After 15 mins, add chicken pieces and mix them properly with the mixture
